Applications for Hexplane FVL extend from the beach to the high mountains.  Vertical lift has been a mainstay of infantry combat operations ever since Vietnam.  But this aircraft goes beyond being merely a highly capable battlefield transport.  With its air refueling and substantial speed and range, the aircraft can self-deploy to overseas hot-spots, making it available worldwide on much shorter notice than with current rotary wing solutions.
